Maria Elena Bendana

Dr. Bendana joined Midtown OBGYN in 2025 after completing her residency in Columbus, GA, and practicing for many years. She was born in Leon, Nicaragua but raised in Washington state, where she finished her undergraduate studies before moving to Costa Rica for her medical degree.

After completing her studies in Costa Rica, she came to Columbus to complete her residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Bendana has worked in urgent care and primary care in Columbus and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She will be seeing primary care patients at our office for annual exams, sick visits, and hospital follow-up.

When not at work, Dr. Bendana enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons and visiting family abroad. Her hobbies include listening to music, dancing, painting, and participating in outdoor sports.
